Questions

Frequently asked questions.

If your question is not answered here, you are welcome to make a private enquiry.

Is April a dating or escort service?

No. April is a strictly non-sexual social companion and event plus-one service. We accompany members to public events as composed company — never as a dating, escort, sugar, or intimate service.

Is the service strictly non-sexual?

Yes, without exception. Every booking is non-sexual and takes place in a public venue. This is the foundation of how April works, and it is non-negotiable for members and companions alike.

What kinds of events can I book for?

Dinners, theatre and concerts, weddings, parties and celebrations, business and networking functions, and other public social occasions. See our Services page for the full range.

Do you only work in Bristol?

We are based in Bristol and primarily serve the South West. Travel further afield can be arranged with a little notice, with any additional planning and fees agreed clearly in advance.

How do I become a member?

Begin with a short, private application. We review every enquiry confidentially, complete identity checks for suitable applicants, then welcome you as a member. See How It Works for the full process.

Why do you verify ID?

Identity and age verification keep the service safe and trustworthy for everyone. We confirm photo ID and address before approving membership, and store these documents securely with restricted access.

Can I request a specific companion?

You are welcome to share the kind of company and atmosphere you have in mind, and we will do our best to match thoughtfully — always within our boundaries and with the comfort of both members and companions in mind.

Are bookings confidential?

Yes. Discretion is central to April. We handle your information privately and securely, and we never share member details. Our Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled.

Do you attend private homes or hotel rooms?

No. All bookings take place in public venues, and first bookings never begin in a private home or hotel room. This is a firm boundary that keeps the service comfortable and safe.

What happens if a booking ends early?

Every booking has an agreed start and finish time. A companion may end a booking immediately if a boundary is crossed or they feel unsafe. For ordinary changes of plan, our cancellation terms are set out in our Terms of Service.

How far in advance should I book?

Where possible, please give a week or more for most events, and longer for weddings. We will always tell you honestly what is achievable for your date.

Can you help plan the evening?

Yes. Light evening planning is part of the service — venue suggestions, timings and a relaxed plan so the night flows smoothly. We agree all the details with you in advance.

Still have a question?

You are welcome to make a private enquiry, or begin your membership application whenever you are ready.
